I worked as a volunteer at Everest and was so grateful to work with such an amazing team. They were very supportive and really cared about every patient they have on service. As a volunteer, I connected with their patients at the end-of-life and spent time with the patient by playing music, talking to them, and even going out for a walk. The team is available for their patient's and their families when they need help and really guide you through the end-of-life process. Their dedication to hospice is unmatched and I highly recommend this organization.

Everest Hospice San Diego is an exceptional organization! Our contact was Marlena and words cannot explain the gratitude our family has for her and this organization. Everyone who came in to care for our mom was compassionate, kind, understanding, knowledgeable in the process of a loved one's end of life process. They explained the process to us, so that we would be able to understand what was happening to our mom. Every time we called no matter what time, day or night, they immediately came out to see mom and take care of our concerns/needs for mom. They helped us getting the necessary medications to keep mom out of pain. They were our advocates at the assisted living facility where our mom was at, when we needed help getting mom's needs met. We honestly couldn't have had a better experience for my dad using Everest Hospice. From the moment I made the first call to Carolina, the communication was so good and always kind. Even thought they are extremely busy, they never seemed rushed. Cheyenne was our intake RN who took tons of time getting to know and joke around with my dad. She really helped us get set up, fill out paperwork and answer all of my questions. We had exceptional care from Eddie in the middle of the night who saved me, Leo who always came in with such positive energy yet still was so caring and proficient, Marlina, RN, who really took time to talk us through everything, and Andi who helped my dad with his showers but was a delight in joking with him. All of these people were put on this earth to help in these difficult moments and I don't think I could have gotten through that week without them. My father and our family was treated with such dignity, respect and love. They anticipated any medical or equipment needs and had them there before I even knew we needed them. Thank you for making the end of a 91 year life the best it could possibly be. Also, a huge shout out to Alma who is organizing a memorial service for the staff at La Vida Real as they deal with their grief over losing my father, too.
